This policy explains how Insightview.eu ApS processes personal data in connection with our website, subscriptions and emails, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

2. Who our services are for

Insightview offers its services exclusively to businesses and professional investors. Even so, we process personal data about the individuals who use our services on behalf of their organisations, such as contact persons and named users.

3. What we process, why, and on what legal basis

Account and subscription data

Name, email address, organisation, job title (if provided), login details and subscription details. Purpose: to provide the subscription, give access to the website, and communicate with you about your account. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in performing the subscription agreement with your organisation (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), or performance of a contract where you subscribe in your own name (Article 6(1)(b)).

Delivery of subscribed content by email

Email address and subscription preferences. Purpose: to send the content you or your organisation have subscribed to, such as the Morning Briefing, the Weekly Update and Articles. Legal basis: performance of the subscription agreement (Article 6(1)(b)) or our legitimate interest in delivering it (Article 6(1)(f)).

Email open and click measurement – only with your consent

Whether an email has been opened and which links in it have been clicked. Purpose: to understand which content is useful and to improve it. How: a small invisible image (tracking pixel) and tracked links are included only in emails sent to subscribers who have consented. Subscribers who have not consented receive emails without a tracking pixel and with ordinary links. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) and the Danish Executive Order on Cookies). Consent is optional and is not a condition for receiving our emails. You can withdraw it at any time via "Manage tracking preferences" at the bottom of every email, or by contacting us.

Reading and listening history (logged-in subscribers)

Which articles and audio files you open, listen to, print or forward via the website. Purpose: to improve our content and your user experience. How: recorded on our server and linked to your account. Nothing is stored on your device for this purpose. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how our content is used (Article 6(1)(f)). You have the right to object (see section 8).

How visitors arrive at the website

The referring website and campaign parameters in the link you used (for example, which email or newsletter brought you to the site). Purpose: to understand which channels lead readers to our content. How: recorded on our server when you visit. Nothing is stored on your device for this purpose. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

Invoicing and accounting

Name and contact details of the invoice recipient, and invoice and payment information. Purpose: invoicing and compliance with our accounting obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation under the Danish Bookkeeping Act (Article 6(1)(c)).

Enquiries

Information you provide when you contact us. Purpose: to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f)).

Cookie consent records

An anonymous ID, your choices, the policy version and a timestamp. Purpose: to document your consent. Legal basis: legal obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (Article 6(1)(c), cf. Article 7(1)).

We do not process sensitive personal data, and we do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Where the data comes from

We collect data directly from you, from your organisation when it registers you as a user, and from your use of our website and emails as described above.

5. Sharing of data

We never sell personal data or share it for marketing purposes.

We use the following data processors, which process data only on our instructions and under data processing agreements:

6. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Postmark's servers are located in Chicago, USA. Transfers to Postmark are based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which form part of our data processing agreement with Postmark. 7. How long we keep data

Data/Retention

Account and subscription data:

Retention: For the duration of the subscription, and deleted no later than 12 months after it ends

Email open and click data:

12 months from the date of the event, or until you withdraw your consent

Reading and listening history:

12 months from the date of the event.

Traffic source data:

12 months

Enquiries:

Up to 12 months after the enquiry has been handled

Cookie and tracking consent records:

For as long as the consent applies, and 12 months thereafter for documentation.

Email content stored by Postmark:

45 days

Accounting records:

5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act

When a retention period expires, we delete or anonymise the data.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  1. access the personal data we hold about you;
  2. have inaccurate data corrected;
  3. have your data erased;
  4. restrict our processing of your data;
  5. receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability);
  6. object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including your reading and listening history;
  7. withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

Some rights are subject to conditions or limitations, for example where we are legally required to keep accounting records. To exercise your rights, contact us at carsten.bonde@insightview.eu. We will respond within one month.

9. Complaints

You can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, www.datatilsynet.dk. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns first.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and secure password storage.

11. Cookies

Our Cookie Policy describes our use of cookies.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page, and the version number and date above show when it was last changed. Where changes require your consent, we will ask for it.
