‌Flere europæiske politikere mener, at det ikke kan gå hurtigt nok, da Kinas såkaldte neutralitet i Rusland-Ukraine-konflikten ikke længere holder. Siden Ruslands invasion af Ukraine har EU ændret sin opfattelse af, hvem Præsident Xi Jinping i virkeligheden er og hvad han vil med Kina – om end det Xi siger i dag, sagde han også før invasionen. Vi taler om EU ikke kun fejlvurderede Rusland, men også har fejlvurderet Beijing.

‌‌‌Camilla forsker indenfor international politik og udenrigs- og sikkerhedspolitiske analyse med særligt fokus på Kina som stormagtsaktør og på sikkerhedspolitiske og militære strategiske udviklinger i Østasien (Taiwan Strædet, Syd- og Østkinesiske Hav, Koreahalvøen, Kina-Japan-USA magtforhold og relationer) og implikationerne heraf for dansk udenrigs-, sikkerheds- og forsvarspolitik inkl. i det arktiske område og i forhold til Grønland. ‌
