Podcast interview with Camilla Noerup Soerensen: China enters the graveyard of empires, Afghanistan. What are the ramifications?
In this podcast [min. 28], Insightview has asked Camilla Noerup Soerensen, who is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Strategy at the Royal Danish Defence College in Copenhagen, about the global ramifications of what commentators describe as Western powers' humiliating exit from Afghanistan.

Insightview asks Camilla about the global and regional consequences of the White House "running away with its tail between its legs". We also discuss whether the United States leaving Afghanistan makes room for China - and whether Beijing is interested in getting into what many historians call "the graveyard of empires"?

‌Camilla was recently tasked by the Danish government to write the background report on current security developments and trends in Asia and implications hereof for Danish security and defence policy ahead of the debate and negotiations leading up to the next Danish defence agreement.
